After completing the Ariel’s Grotto card for Llorcana, I was asked to create the Enchanted version of it. What an honor! Grateful I was able to participate in that.

I love this scene in Tangled where the pub thugs sing about their dreams, so I was very happy to make this illustration. I’m glad they were able to open up and be vulnerable! haha

Fun fact, a few years ago I created this as a concept art piece for Lorcana, but more recently I was asked to turn it into an illustration for card art. Glad I could come back to this piece and finish it!

Fun little factoid, originally the River Styx was blueish while the background was amber colored, but partway through the design it was flipped.. It’s always fun to include the weaving nature of Amber Ink in my illustrations!

The main challenge on this @disneylorcana card was keeping Maui’s Island recognizable. We realized that when viewed up close on the beaches, this was not easy to do. As a solution, we kept the camera at a distance.
